We are very much looking forward to a truely international event with pilots from all over the world::

A first-timer at the Held Trophy is Joy Roa, the organizor of the annual "Fiesta of Everything that flies" an his team from the Philippines as well as a Thai delegation led by Kun Niwat, vice president of the Thai Fyling Club and the initiator of the Pattaya Balloon Fiesta.
It is also the first time that a thai balloon, HS-FLY, participates at the Appenzell Balloon fiesta. We are grateful to the producer of the famous Singha Beer, the Boon Rawd Brewery, for its generous support that made this possible.

Not less important are our Swiss friends, beginning with Ernesto Merz, without whom we would not have dared to start this event, and (in aplphabetical oder ) Josef Ebneter, Hans Funk, Ronnie Fässler, Urs Frieden, Trophy-defender Othmar Hochreutener, Sonja Hoffmann, Martin Messner, Hanspeter Müller, Manfred Streit, Otto Sutter and Marcel Wittwer.

We are also very much looking forward to the teams from Germany with the pilots Frank Wisgalle from Möhnsee and Wolf Kadach from Werle, without whom we could not imagine the Held Trophy anymore and "Newcomers" like Achim Schneider, whom we met with his sugar"speciall shape" balloon in Thailand and Peter-Heinz Woste aus Rheda-Wiedenbrück mikt dem Garant-Möbel Ballon.
