Winner of the 3rd International Held Trophy - The Balloon Event With Heart is Hanspeter Müller from Schaffhausen
He came to the Appenzeller fiesta for the first time and went home with the Trophy... Second place was Manfred Streit, followed by Ronny Fässler on the 3rd place.
The Thai team, which came closest to the cheese hanging over the fiesta field took the Appenzeller cheese home!
Michael Fitze won the price for being the most helpful person at the fiesta
Jupp Hein received the price for promoting ballooning among children and
Stephan Heilmann won in the category humour

Airship above Appenzell

Unlike a hot air balloon, the airship can choose the direction into which it will fly. Get an overlook of the village and its surroundings to start the Trophy with an airy experience! The airship starts from the launchfield in the "Sandgrueb" of Appenzell.

Our Thai friends did not only bring their hot air balloon: Thai and Asian snacks are planned to be served at the Singhabar in the festive tent. :-)

Setteretaler-Buebe play Friday and Saturday night in the Festive Tent

We are looking forward to merry evenings in the Trophy-tent with delicacies prepared by Markus Wetter and his team and happy music, played by the wellknown Setteretaler Quartet.

As in its previous editions, there will be a special aerobatics programme in front of the beautiful Appenzeller Alpstein.

 

 

Heartballoon on Promo-Tour

February 2008: 21 balloons from around the world and more visitors than ever bevore attended the "weekend of everything that flies", the 12th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark, Philippines.

December 2007:
The first international Pattaya Balloon Fiesta is organized for the 80th Birthday of His Majesty King Buhomil. Balloons from America, Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, Saudiarabia Thailand and Switzerland make beautiful rides over palmtrees, tapioca-cultures and pinaple fields.

 

First registrations for the third international Held Trophy - the balloon event with heart

September 2007: The first registration has been received from Wolf Kadach and his Team (Germany) at almost the same time as Stan Hess (USA) confirmed his participation despite the change of date.

 

New date for the Held Trophy

August 2007: In order to give more Appenzeller the opportunity to participate at the Balloon Fiesta, a more suitable date was found on the week-end of "Fronleichnam" which in 2008 will take place from May 23 - 25th.

Oldtimers visiting the 1st int'l Held Trophy

Clark, Philippinen (7. Feb. 08): 20 balloons followed the hare under high clouds and ideal winds.

2 years of preparations with an outstanding result: The Sport Flying Association (Thailand) organised a great Balloon Fiesta to celebrate the 80th Birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol.

15 hot air balloons from Europe, Asia and America came to celebrate His Mayesty.
